Abstract

The rapid growth of digital technology has transformed patterns of human interaction, access to information, and understanding of legal norms, while Indonesian students’ literacy levels remain below the OECD average and public legal awareness remains moderate. These conditions highlight the need to strengthen legal consciousness through an educational approach that integrates legal understanding with humanitarian and ethical values. This study aims to examine how Pancasila Education can strengthen humanistic legal consciousness in Indonesia in the context of digital disruption, particularly through the value of “Just and Civilized Humanity.” The study employs a qualitative normative-philosophical approach combined with a systematic literature review of academic publications, policy documents, and research reports published between 2015 and 2025. Following systematic screening and evaluation, 32 core sources were selected and analyzed through descriptive systematization, normative evaluation, and critical interpretation. The findings indicate that Pancasila Education can strengthen humanistic legal consciousness by integrating legal knowledge with reflection on human dignity, justice, empathy, responsibility, and social consequences. The study further finds that reflective, participatory, and contextual learning enables students to connect Pancasila values with their digital, social, and cultural experiences, transforming legal awareness from formal compliance into internally grounded moral responsibility. This study argues that Pancasila Education should be reconceptualized as an ethical praxis that positions citizens as moral and rational agents capable of reflecting on legal conduct and exercising responsibility based on humanitarian and social justice values in the digital era.
